[Rifa News] March 30~April 1, Tsinghua University's Reconfigurable Manufacturing System (RMS) Research Group, the main leader of the Tsinghua University Precision Instrument Department Professor Luo Zhenbi Professor Sheng Bohao, Deputy Chief Engineer of Beijing Machine Tool Research Institute, and Professor Zhu Yaoxiang, School of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University and Visiting Professor of Southern Illinois University, came to our company, including the deputy director of the Teaching and Research Group of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, etc.), and the bearing manufacturing automation section ( The BM-AWS) project team conducted specific exchanges and analyses on the specific implementation and application of the "Technical Requirements for the Automatic Manufacturing System of Inner and Outer Ring Grinding of Rifa Reconfigurable Small and Medium-sized Deep Groove Ball Bearings".

In 1998, the National Research Council (NRC) announced and recognized that reconfigurable manufacturing systems (RMS, Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems) are the number one key technology for future manufacturing by 2020, and are the ten key technologies predicted by the committee for future key manufacturing technologies. The first (J, Botlinger et al. Visionary Manufacturing Challengers for 2020, National Academy Press, 1998). This is a summary of the lessons learned from the "manufacturing decline and economic downturn" in the 1970s and 1980s in the United States: the United States is a big country with no shortage of new ideas and innovations, but (at the time) its opponent (Japan) was often the first to introduce high-quality new products to the market. And defeated (1991). The RMS research team and the BM-AWS project team reached a consensus on the necessity of RMS application in the Chinese manufacturing industry, and signed an agreement on the joint development of the "reconfigurable bearing manufacturing system project" in December 2000, and clarified the first The specific requirements, implementation plan and implementation time of the project "Rifa Reorganizable Super-precision Automatic Manufacturing System for Inner and Outer Rings of Small and Medium-sized Deep Groove Ball Bearings".

At the same time, the RMS group also put forward many reasonable opinions and suggestions on the overall design of the bearing grinding and super automatic line of the BM-AWS project. Finally, the two parties conducted friendly discussions on further strengthening cooperation in other areas, and discussed "improving precision measurement in the bearing manufacturing process", "supply chain management", "tooling and fixture design software application" and "assisting in industrial engineering certification", etc. A preliminary cooperation intention was reached on the project.
